SO PROUD TO BE IN THIS BOOK
This book charts contemporary illustrations rich history: the rampant
idealism of the 1960s, the bleak realism of the 1970s, the over-blown
consumerism of the 1980s, the digital explosion of the 1990s, followed by
the increasing diversification of illustration in the early twenty-first
century. The book explores the contexts in which the discipline has
operated and looks historically, sociologically, politically and
culturally at the key factors at play across each decade, whilst artworks
by key illustrators bring the decade to life. Contemporary illustrations
impact and influence on design and popular culture are investigated
through introductory essays and profiles of leading practitioners,
illustrated with examples of their finest work.

GIRLS ON FILM || DOCUMENTARY
I was paid a visit from a nice young Swedish filmmaker Rebecka, who is
producing a documentary film in collaboration with the Swedish
organization IKFF.
IKFF is the Swedish extension of Women’s International League for Peace
and Freedom. The organization is one of the oldest organizations in the
world promoting women’s rights and political influence in peace-building
processes.
The main aim of the film is to clarify: How women’s violence, and women as
violent offenders are portrayed and understood in media, by institutions
and by society in Sweden.
Rebecka made a lot of pictures and film while visiting me. Here are a
couple of her raw images of one of my works.
I can't wait to see what it all ends up with. More later...

LASER CAT MIAMI
I'm taking part in this wonderful mad project.Got a mail from the Laser
Cat today:
Congratulations!
Your artwork is awesome and it has been selected for the show.Thank you
Laser Cat!
Cat is a physical manifestation of that love. Commissioned by ADC,
conceived by the minds of Barcelona-based
Hungry Castle, and together with the help of ADC Hall of Famer
Kevin O'Callaghan, Laser Cat is a giant art installation that
will be part of the
ADC 93rd Annual Awards + Festival of Art and Craft in Advertising and
Design, taking place from April 7–9, 2014 in beautiful Miami
Beach. As its name suggests, Laser Cat is a giant cat with 'lasers' for
eyes that uses high powered projectors to beam the personal art projects
of our global community onto walls, the sides of buildings... and
perhaps even the moon! At the very least, Laser Cat and its projections
will reside in the
Bass Museum of Art, one of the prime venues of the world famous
Art Basel Miami Beach.
